New Year's eve celebrated at Bela Church

The parishioners of Our Lady of Dolours Church, Bela, came together as one family to welcome the New Year. The celebrations began with the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Fr Stany Pereira, the parish priest, conducted the Adoration which led the congregation in offering thanks for God’s blessings throughout 2024.

This was followed by the Holy Eucharist of the feast of Mary, the Mother of God, which coupled with celebration of the arrival of the New Year. The Mass was presided over by Fr Rocky Fernandes, Principal of St Mary College, Bela, and concelebrated by Fr Stany Pereira.

At the end of the Eucharistic celebration, the parish priest expressed his gratitude to the parishioners and extended his wishes for a joyful and blessed New Year 2025. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the Crib Competition organized by the YCS Bela unit.
